I designed and experimented with this layout for the new version of my website. I knew it had to feel modern and not out dated, this meant using a good colour scheme and good graphics. I have gave this design a modern style and look to it; mostly because if the shapes I have used; in the navigation bar I have used curved edges and an arrow pointing downwards showing you which page you are on. The background is of swirls and circles with a gradient at the bottom. On the footer bar I have a series of upwards pointing triangles that help point out where the footer bar starts from the main body of the website. Different colours of text has been used throughout so that the site does not feel bland and boring; these colours of text give it a feel of being exciting and modern, if the different colours were not there it would feel quite dark because of the background, also strong typography throughout helps to organize the content and make it easy for site visitors to read relevant information.
